189 Pentz Road

At the waters edge on quiet Pentz Road, this remarkable two-storey boathouse offers history, character and unforgettable views along the LaHave River toward the Atlantic Ocean. Originally used to store schooner rigging, it was later transformed into a gallery by renowned artists Don and Louise Pentz before beginning its latest chapter as a bright, funky and inviting boathouse. Inside, a spacious bar and contemporary glass garage door capture the river views and open onto a wraparound waterside deck, creating the perfect setting for entertaining, relaxing or enjoying a glass of wine at sunset. Remnants of the original schooner wharf remain, and the property includes an approved transferable permit to construct a new wharf, along with two mooring balls in deep water. A composting toilet is already in place, and there is parking for at least two vehicles. Located minutes from the LaHave Ferry, LaHave Bakery and the sandy shores of Crescent, Green Bay and Rissers beaches. A truly distinctive waterfront retreat for boating, paddling, creative pursuits or simply escaping to the South Shore. Drone video available.
